How to get ink out of carpet

Blot fresh ink from the carpet with clean cloths right away; it may be impossible to remove if it dries.

  1. Blot the ink with a clean cloth.
  2. Use a fresh clean cloth as soon as ink transfers to the cloth.
  3. Keep blotting gently until no more ink transfers.
  4. Let the area air-dry only after blotting stops lifting ink.
Don't do this
Ink may be permanent, especially if it has dried. Use a commercial product made for this, used per its label.
