How to get chocolate out of upholstery

Check the care tag code first, then use minimal cold/cool water and blotting; the outlook is cautious because overwetting upholstery can leave a circle.

1. Check the upholstery care tag code before adding any moisture.
2. Pretest cold/cool water on an inconspicuous area to check colorfastness.
3. Gently lift any surface chocolate with a dull knife or spoon for scraping.
4. Dampen a clean cloth with cold/cool water, using as little moisture as possible.
5. Blot the stained area with the damp cloth; do not rub.
6. Blot with a dry clean cloth until the treated area is as dry as possible.
