How to get rust out of stainless steel

Blot and wash with cool water and dish soap first; noticeable rust on stainless steel may need a commercial product made for this, used per its label.

1. Blot the rust stain with a clean cloth dampened with cool water; do not rub.
2. Wash the area with dish soap and cool water on a clean cloth.
3. Rinse by blotting with a clean cloth dampened with cool water.
4. Blot the stain with a clean cloth dampened with white vinegar if the stainless steel tolerates it.
5. Use a soft brush gently on the stained area if needed; do not scrub hard.
6. Rinse by blotting with cool water, then blot dry with a clean cloth.
