How to get water marks out of glass

Start by blotting the glass with a one-to-one mix of white vinegar and cool water; water marks often improve, but stubborn marks may need another pass.

  1. Mix one part white vinegar with one part cool water.
  2. Wet a clean cloth with the vinegar-and-water mix.
  3. Blot the water marks on the glass; do not rub.
  4. Blot the area with a clean cloth dampened with cool water.
  5. Blot dry with a clean cloth.
  6. Repeat the vinegar-and-water blotting once if water marks remain.
Don't do this
Repeat the vinegar-and-water method once. If the water marks still remain, use a commercial product made for this, used per its label.
